MOTION DESIGNCHUA is a custom blend seasoning brand for busy people who want to elevate the taste of their favorite stove top ramen and other noodle soups.  

We are here to help new cooks and old, busy and experimental, and true lovers of rich asian flavors.


I’ve had to the time of my life and I owe it all to CHUA.
“Chua” is my mother’s middle name, which is her mother’s maiden name. In Chinese tradition, your last name will become your child’s middle name. And again in Chinese tradition, my mom taught me how to cook because her mom taught her how to cook. 

As a kid, whenever I asked my mom what she was cooking she would often say, “I’m not sure. I’m just throwing together whatever looks good!” It always turned out delicious. 

Now, I cook the same way. I throw in everything that looks good. Especially when I cook soup. I find myself sprinkling in a colorful mix of seasonings, herbs, and sauces with no real concept of measurements or “cooking science.” 

Chua is named after my mom. And it’s for those who are craving their mother’s cooking and that home cooked flavor.  My mom, Gloria Chua Tan, the best cook I know.
